We have a date

And no, unfortunately it's not the romantic kind of date for Don and I!! We got the call yesterday that Nate's pulmonary artery banding surgery has been scheduled. We leave in 10 days. We'll have an appt. with his cardiologist on Monday, March 8th in Winnipeg, and fly to Edmonton later that day. Tuesday, March 9th will be a full day of appointments in the Pre Admission Clinic (including a very NOT fun sedated ultrasound). Wednesday is surgery day.

Although we've been waiting to get this call and the dates for surgery for a couple of months, somehow it was still a shock to actually get the call with real dates. Probably a good thing that we only have 10 days to prepare for it!

I have marked the dates on my calendar so I will remember to be in prayer throughout those days. I will keep you in prayer until then as well. God bless and may He be an incredible strength to you all.

I am praying for your family. God will give you the strength and endurance you will need for the surgery and beyond. God promises that He is with us, through everything! I am sure you feel it!

Hi Bonnie, Just talked to your mom and heard about Nate. The unit he will be recovering in is one that I worked in when we were living in Edmonton. I have cared for many little ones after similar surgery and just wanted you to know that if I can help in anyway, even just to ask questions, I would be happy to talk.You will be in my thoughts and prayers, cousin Linda.

I will be praying for Nate and for the rest of your family. I know from experience that prayer does work. I also know that no matter what happens, God will carry you through and he always knows what's best.
