About Me

My photo
Carole Hiebert
I live in a house full of boys and I'm loving every minute of it! Brady is 11 - loves hockey and tortellini. Nate is 9 - loves Lego and Jeep rides. Don is...well I won't tell you how old he is, but he's my husband and the leader of the pack. I started blogging to keep friends and family up to date on the health of Nate. He was born with a congenital heart defect called Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries (L-TGA), a Ventricular Septal Defect and severe tricuspid valve leakage. He had his first heart surgery to place a Pulmonary Artery Band on March 15/10, by Dr. Ivan Rebeyka in Edmonton, AB. Ultimately, the surgery did not do what they hoped. His second heart surgery involved replacing his leaky triscuspid valve with a mechanical valve, closing his VSD, and putting biventricular pacing wires in. We live our life knowing God has purpose and a plan for our family. He has provided an army of encouragers and prayer warriors who have seen us through the highs and lows!
